This Privacy Policy explains how Health & Wellness Apps Limited (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our CDL exam preparation mobile application and related services (the “App”).

1. Information We Collect

We collect information needed to operate the App, provide CDL practice features, maintain subscriptions, improve reliability, and understand how users interact with the App.

App Usage and Interaction Data

We may collect information about how you use the App, including:

  • screens viewed;
  • onboarding steps completed;
  • selected state and selected study topics;
  • practice tests started, completed, and reviewed;
  • answer results, progress, missed questions, favorites, and work-on-mistakes activity;
  • exam date reminders and related settings;
  • notification permission status;
  • app rating prompts and related interactions;
  • question report submissions, including the question ID and selected state.

Purchase and Subscription Data

If you purchase a subscription or other paid access, we may process purchase-related information, including:

  • subscription status;
  • product or plan identifier;
  • trial status;
  • renewal, cancellation, restore, and expiration status;
  • transaction or receipt identifiers;
  • paywall views and purchase events.

Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your full payment card number or payment credentials.

Device, App, and Diagnostic Data

We may collect technical information such as:

  • device type, operating system, app version, language, and region;
  • app session events;
  • crash, error, and performance information;
  • analytics identifiers generated by our analytics or subscription providers.

Approximate Location for State Selection

During onboarding, the App may use your IP address to request approximate country and region information from an IP location service. This is used to suggest the most relevant CDL state list. We do not collect precise GPS location for this purpose.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, we may use notification tokens or platform notification identifiers to send study reminders and App-related messages. You can disable notifications in your device settings.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • provide CDL practice, test, exam, progress, and reminder features;
  • save and sync your App progress locally and, where applicable, through service providers;
  • suggest a state during onboarding;
  • process and verify subscriptions and purchases;
  • show relevant paywalls and restore purchases;
  • understand feature usage and improve the App experience;
  • debug crashes, errors, and performance issues;
  • detect abuse, prevent fraud, and protect App functionality;
  • respond to support requests and question reports;
  • comply with legal, tax, accounting, and App Store requirements.

3. Analytics and Attribution

We use analytics to understand App usage and improve the product. Analytics events may be linked to an app-generated user or device identifier so that we can understand progression through onboarding, purchases, practice activity, and feature performance.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use your App interaction data for third-party targeted advertising. We do not use your study progress, test answers, or purchase data to track you across unrelated apps or websites for marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate the App. These providers process information on our behalf or provide platform services.

These services may include:

  • analytics and product analytics providers;
  • subscription and purchase management providers;
  • push notification providers;
  • attribution or install measurement providers, if enabled;
  • crash reporting, diagnostics, hosting, and backend API providers;
  • Apple App Store and Apple in-app purchase services.

These providers may process data such as app events, device information, purchase status, subscription identifiers, notification tokens, and diagnostic information. Their processing is governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

5. Data Stored on Your Device

The App stores certain information locally on your device, including selected state, selected topics, test progress, exam date, favorites, reminders, and onboarding status. This allows the App to preserve your progress between sessions and, when applicable, after an update from the previous React Native version of the App.

Deleting the App may remove locally stored data unless it has also been stored by a platform service or third-party provider.

6. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the App, maintain subscriptions, improve functionality, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms.

Local App data remains on your device until you delete it, reset App progress where available, or uninstall the App.

7. Your Choices

You can:

  • disable notifications in your device settings;
  • change or remove your exam date and reminder settings in the App where available;
  • cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings;
  • request access, correction, or deletion of data by contacting us;
  • limit analytics or advertising-related permissions through iOS settings where applicable.

Some data may be retained where required for legal, security, fraud prevention, accounting, or App Store compliance purposes.

8. California Privacy Notice

If you are a California resident, you may have rights under California privacy laws, depending on whether those laws apply to us. These rights may include the right to know, access, correct, delete, and limit certain uses of personal information.

Categories of information we may collect include:

  • identifiers, such as app-generated identifiers, device identifiers, transaction identifiers, and notification tokens;
  • commercial information, such as subscription status and purchase history;
  • internet or electronic network activity, such as App usage events and screen interactions;
  • geolocation-related information, limited to approximate IP-based country or region lookup;
  • inferences related to App usage, such as progress, selected topics, and study preferences.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

9. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for users preparing for commercial driver licensing exams and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International Users

If you use the App outside the United States, your information may be processed in countries where we or our service providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws different from those in your location.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and may provide additional notice where required.
